The aim of this project is to investigate the advantages and potential limitations of the features of night time postural management equipment which is provided to children in the United Kingdom (UK).

This project comprises an ‘evidence review’ on the VAC technology incorporating an overview of current VAC systems available to the UK market, an economic analysis of the value of this approach to wound management, and identification of key procurement issues in relation to this technology.

Buyers' guide - Compression hosiery, CEP08036, October 2008
This evaluation comprises a ‘buyers’ guide’ for compression hosiery. This guide includes a database of compression hosiery products and their key specifications. It provides an overview of British standard recommendations with regards to compression hosiery as well as an identification of key prescribing issues.

The buyers’ guide comprises an overview of the clinical and economic effectiveness research evidence and identifies key product specifications. This guide is intended to assist healthcare professionals with the selection of advanced wound dressings.

This evaluation comprises a ‘buyers’ guide’ of pressure-redistribution support surfaces, particularly mattresses and overlays. The guide includes an overview of key product features and comparative specifications of the current products available to the UK market.

      Buyers' guide - Operating tables
      The aim of this project is to produce a ‘buyers’ guide’ of operating tables. This guide will include an overview of key product features and comparative specifications of the current products available to the UK market. An ergonomic evaluation of the adjustability of the operating tables will be a feature of this guide.
